Parisian evenings

I've been so bad at catching up on here the last few weeks!  Last weekend we were in Paris and this week we were at my cousin's wedding in Berkshire.  It was the most beautiful day with family that I rarely get to see and now I have an extra couple of hundred photos to look through and edit!

So, whilst the St. Jude storm batters Britain, I am going to leave you with these iPhone snapshots of a beautiful Saturday evening in Jardin des Tuileries, lock myself away and edit photos for posts.

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and are keeping safe if you are in the storm zone.

Paris countdown

Shirt / leggings / necklace - New Look
Boots - Primark

Three more sleeps and I will be in Paris! To say I'm a little excited would be an understatement. I adore the place and haven't been for a little while so the hours flight from Cardiff is overdue. I can't wait to catch up with my dear friend Henri and show Megan Paris in autumn.

In preparation I spent my morning off work yesterday at the salon having some ash highlights put through my hair. I didn't want anything too bright and think that they give a subtle lift to my hair which I love. It felt a bit weird doing the housework in freshly coloured and curled locks but I kinda liked it!!

I'm usually dressed pretty smart during the week but I wanted something comfy for my leisurely morning reading Marie Claire and sipping tea! I think the necklace which I snagged at a bargain £3.50 during the New Look sale a few weeks back smartened the whole casual look up a little. Job done!

Weekend in pictures

Bringing out the winter hats / discovering Harry Potter books / Regency Rally* / Glastonbury Tor / Somerset Rural Life Museum / Shopping at Clarks Village / bunny cuddles / autumn nights by the log burner / Narnia themed Christmas at Cadbury Garden Centre.

*Thoughts and prayers are with those who were injured at the Regency Rally on Saturday.

Autumn days have nights are certainly here so it's time to harvest apples, shop for wellies at Joules and warm up by the log burner.

How was your weekend?

Weekend Time Out

I've truly been looking forward to this day all week! I know I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but the last week or so really has been so hectic. Maybe it's just that my fibro is playing up and that I always seem to be in work, but I am so exhausted. I'm off work today but still busy as I am currently on my way to the hospital for my physiotherapy appointment. I am starting two months of advanced rehabilitation for the fibromyalgia, which I am very nervous about as the pain / tiredness is bad enough just with daily activities let alone two half days a week of physio. Fingers crossed that it doesn't break me! It has meant however that I have bought a new swimsuit from Marks and Spencer none the less! I've always dreaded wearing a one piece do to my lacking in the chest department but didn't feel that my sparkly bikini was appropriate for physiotherapy! I actually love this swimsuit though, the stripes make me look more curvy, it has cups and a cross over detail at the busy which detracts from what's missing! I'm thinking that this may be making an appearance outside of rehab.

This week has seen me craving chocolate, possibly due to tiredness but I have tried to limit this to either chocolate & coconut milk or two gluten free chocolate cookies every now and then. We have had such warm weather for October, but the much colder weather over the last couple of days has made it the perfect time for a cup of tea and cookies (in my Cath kidston cup and saucer of course).

We've also had a couple of new additions to our family! On Monday night one of two stray rabbits found in a neighbours garden was attacked by something. The owners who appear to want nothing to do with them were nowhere to be found ( we know who they are), so my neighbour and I paid for her treatment at the vets and she came home with me. Unfortunately we couldn't catch her sister.

Until Friday evening...and now they have been reunited!

One of the best things about autumn has to be costing up in front of the log burner and this is where you can expect to find me all evening!!

I hope you find some chill out time this weekend.

Indian Summer and Jimmy Choo sunnies

It has been a beautiful weekend weather wise. It was lovely to wake up to the sun shining after the rain and dull skies we'd had during the week. The temperatures are still mild enough to be wearing a t-shirt during the afternoon which makes a lovely change to the norm of this time of year. Unfortunately the title of this post is much more exciting than the post actually is, so I apologise for the deception!

To be honest I didn't do a lot this weekend, apart from going out from lunch on Saturday we mainly pottered around the house getting a few jobs done and watched TV.

My neighbour came over Saturday evening and we watched Tai Woffingdon become the first British World Speedway champion in thirteen years! ( Celebratory drinks necessary of course!), followed by a 5am alarm Sunday morning to watch the Formula 1 Korean GP!

It wasn't all being a case of being lazy though, I had a bad day with the fibromyalgia yesterday and was incapable of doing anything other than dose in and out of sleep due to my medication.

I did however manage to find these amazing Jimmy Choo / Carerra sunglasses that just have to be bought! An Indian summer and the fact I broke my favourite pair in Portugal, totally justifies a new pair of sunglasses in October, right?!? Plus they'd be perfect for Paris in under two weeks - I'm sold!

I have been completely lacking in outfit posts or anything else remotely interesting I'm afraid as I have spent the weekend in leggings, t-shirt and a jumper! Although I promise to make more of an effort this week!!
How was your weekend? I'm sure this is probably the most boring post ever, so I'm guessing it was more interesting than mine haha!
